Press release:
The only internationally syndicated broadcast about comic books has heard it's audience and is bringing back an 'Open Lines' show this Sunday at 6pm Central (7pm Eastern, 4pm Pacific). Tune in for an hour of comic book chat with the in-studio crew and your calls as Fanboy Radio asks which comics you love, and which ones you loath. It's a 'Comic Call-Out' and your opinion will be heard! Most of Fanboy Radio's episodes feature interviews with professional comic book creators and include live callers from around the world. "These shows are a fun combination of a panel at a convention and those wacky message boards." says show host, Scott Hinze. "Guests are very accessible and open but can also reach non-readers in a unique way. Rabid fans can still flame a professional (and I'll generally let them), but it takes a while lot more hutzpah than an anonymous Internet forum. When there is a comic book creator on the show, they receive the spotlight and we don't usually talk about comics as a whole. But this Sunday, anything and everything is fair game. So open up your long box, tune in and give us a call -- I'll probably get myself in trouble!"
Fanboy Radio's other host Oliver Tull adds, "I love these shows because they allow us not only to get into the brains of the comic fans, but to scoop out those brains and step upon them aggressively and repeatedly. That, and we can talk about what's going on in the world of comics without the usual veneer of civility we have when the creators are on. Did i mention the brain stepping?"
Along with discussion and opinions about recent comic reads and industry news, Oliver and Scott promise to cover the #1 movie in America, V for Vendetta, the Ultimate Avengers DVD, the news from Wizard World LA, all of the trailers for this summer's hot comic book flicks and a whole lot more! So join Scott, Oliver and the rest of the FbR Crew this Sunday for 'Comic Call-Out' on the comic book show that cares -- Fanboy Radio, The Voice of Comics.
